First-Gen Zone training

About the Conference

First-Gen Zone is aimed at informing, empowering and mobilizing ASU faculty and staff regarding the unique experiences of first-generation college students. First-generation students comprise over 35% of the ASU undergraduate and graduate student body and are one of the fastest growing demographics in the nation.

The conference will offer research-based information, tangible tips and actionable steps to all attendees. 

  • two keynote speakers
  • concurrent sessions addressing a wide array of issues and opportunities
  • a first-generation student panel sharing their stories and advice
  • highlights of existing university programs and initiatives

 

Proposals for concurrent sessions for First-Gen Zone are being accepted and can be submitted at this link

  • Proposals are due Monday, August 3, 2020 by 12 pm 
  • Proposal notices will be sent Friday, September 18th, 2020 

 

First-Gen Zone Conference 2020 will be a free full day virtual training held: 

Thursday, November 5, 2020  


Registration will open Monday, September 28, 2020
